Job description:

General site activities

• To conduct themselves in a professional manner.
• Attendance and added value to be brought to all project meetings with updates given on the quality and programme sections in particular.
• Personal minuting of all meetings attended in your site diary.
• To ensure any variations on projects are communicated with the project QS and PM and logged in your site diary.
• To ensure the programme isn’t slipping on the civil elements of the project. If so to raise it with the project team so it can be addressed.
• Ensuring effective communication with the Project team, Sub Contractors and the Client.
• Ensuring a detailed site diary of the works you witness are recorded in your own site diary.
• Assisting the civil Sub-Contractor or with any issue they have on the project.

Manage Site Safety by ensuring the following:

• Prepare MSRA for Safety Manager Review.
• Deliver Toolbox Talks to operatives.
• Take 5 Stay Alive (SPA’s) to be carried out.
• Encourage the issuing of SOR’s.
• Electrical Safety Rules and Procedures to be implemented.

Manage Site Quality by ensuring the following:

• Sub-contractor Quality review report
• Ensuring quality of the construction works is to the highest of quality.
• Delivery inspection check sheet sign off.
• Carry out Site Quality Audits
• Ensuring all works are as-built correctly.
• Ensuring no works is under taken until drawings are revved up to issue for construction.
• Ensure all materials used on site have been approved by PM and Project engineer.
• Ensure adherence to design drawings and receive prior approval from Project Engineer before making any changes to drawings.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly site documentation with the support of the Project Manager and the HSE Advisor.

Requirement

• Proven experience as a Civil Site Manager or similar role in construction management in Germany.
• In-depth knowledge of German construction methods, materials, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is highly desirable, German B2 is required.
